Advisory for farmers cultivating maize, soybean and pulses crops

Maize- There are possibilities of rainfall in coming days, So farmers are advised to top dress remaining dose of Urea (40 kg h-1) in maize at tasseling stage. Foliar spray of Emamectin Benzoate 5 SG @ 0.4 g/l water should be done for the control of Fall Army Worm in maize. Spray should be done when sky is clear.

Soybean- Spray Acephate 75 SP one g/litre or Triazophos 40 EC one ml/litre at 20 days interval for the control of Girdle beetle in soybean.

Pulses- In the present weather conditions, the farmers get the outbreak of pod borer at the flowering stage of moong, cowpea and urd crops. For its prevention, apply pheromone traps (5 traps per hectare). If white flies or sucking pests is above ETL, spraying of Imidacloprid 17.8 % SC @ 1.0 ml / 3 lit. of water is recommended when sky remain clear.
