Advisory for farmers cultivating Garlic and Okra

Garlic- Due to root rot in garlic growth of plant is check and leaf yelloe in colour occurs.

• The plant dried up from top to bottom.
• At the initiation of disese roots are dry and lower part of bulb is rotten ultimately whole plant will be died.
• For control of this disease it advised to farmers spray carbendazim 12 % + mancozeb 63 % WP @ 300 ml/acre or chlorothalonil 75 % WP @ or 400 gram/acre or thiophanate methyl 70 % W/W 300 gram/acre.

Okra- Start the sowing of summer okra.

• Improved varities are Jamuna, OH-59, JOh-05-9, Parbhani Kranti and Arka anamika.
