Advisory for farmers cultivating Cucumber, Ginger and Tomato
CUCUMBER- Proper support should be given to the cucurbits plants. Avoid direct contact of fruit with soil. Sell the prepared fruits of Cucumber in the market.
GINGER- Dying of the ginger plant is due to soft-rot disease. To manage this disease, improve the soil drainage. Drench with copper oxychloride @ 0.3% and completely infected plants must be removed.
TOMATO- To control the collar rot disease in tomato, avoid water stagnation by ensuring good drainage. Drenching with either Trichoderma @10g/liter of water or carbendazim @ 1g/liter of water should be done.
