Mr. Naeem Qureshi from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh has been running his goat farm under the name of Barbari Goat Farm, for a long time. After receiving training from ICAR-CIRG, Makhdoom, he started his farm with 10 goats in May, 2007. A scientist from CIRG visited his farm and suggested few changes such as pure Breed animals, breeding stock, effective marketing strategy and market linkeges with others. Now, he has about 350 goats of four breeds Barbari, Sirohi, Jamunapari and Beetle. Locally, his farm is also as the Golden Goat Commercial Training Center. In this farm, he is practicing goat farming in a scientific way. Apart from goat farming, Naeem also imparts goat farming training to other farmers. In this training he gives all the information to the farmers regarding goat diseases, deworming, diet and breeds improvement, etc. Farmers getting training are also given training certificates by the “Modern Goat Training Center. Mr. Naeem is also into selling of goat to different states of India and other countries like Bhutan, Vietnam, and Nepal.
