Sprinkler irrigation
• It is a method through which water is given uniformly in the fields. The system contains pump which lifts the water from the source and pushes it through the distribution system and finally reaches the sprinkler head from which water is thrown in sprinkles or small water droplets to main field.
• Irrigation through sprinkler method will help to retain moisture in the soil, save water and will help to increase yield by 20%.
• It provides easy and uniform application of pesticides and fertilizers in the fields. It is also helpful in fertilization.
• It is beneficial for hilly areas where normal irrigation is not possible.
