There is great and happy news for the farmers that the varieties of wheat that will be sown in November have been improved by the University, and a new variety of wheat has been discovered. On improving the variety of wheat, these varieties have increased the ability to fight brown and yellow rust disease and also have good impact on yield.
1. Unnat PBW 343: This wheat variety has been improved by PAU. Now this variety of wheat has yield of 23.2 quintals per acre and it is completely resistant to brown and yellow rust disease.
2. Unnat PBW 550: This wheat variety has been improved by PAU. Now this wheat variety has yield of 23 quintal per acre and it is completely resistant to brown and yellow rust disease.
3. PBW 1 Zn: This is the new variety of wheat developed by PAU and its yield is 22.5 quintal per acre.
